Katie Hopkins' Show 'Axed' After One Series

Katie Hopkins' talk show has reportedly been cancelled after just one series because of lacklustre viewing figures.

Just 69,000 people turned on to watch the first episode of TLC show If Katie Hopkins Ruled the World, according to the Guardian.

Each episode saw the controversial columnist debating 'rules' to make life better, alongside a studio audience and celebrities such as Germaine Greer, Calum Best and TOWIE star Gemma Collins.

'Rules' for debate included: overweight plane passengers should pay an extra tax, and breastfeeding mums should be sent home.

In one episode, she called an audience member who disagreed with her a "raging, angry fat person in a pink jacket".

Hopkins landed the show after her documentary My Fat Story pulled in healthy numbers for Discovery's TLC channel.

The former Apprentice contender is often derided for her comments and accused of being deliberately provocative.

However, US presidential hopeful Donald Trump revealed himself as a fan. He tweeted last week that UK politicians should take notice of the "respected columnist".
