Harry Kane scored his 28th and 29th goals of 2015 to send Spurs on their way to a comfortable victory over Norwich City, who could not repeat their shock victory at Old Trafford last weekend.
Spurs coasted home against the East Anglians, with youngster Tom Carroll scoring his first Premier League goal in the closing stages to complete an easy victory that keeps Tottenham in fourth place.
Kane scores the first from the spot
Yet Spurs had started slowly, with Norwoch creating the first clear chances. Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe and Robbie Brady both fired in fierce long range shots that Hugo Lloris had to tip away, and Cameron Jerome headed over the bar from close range following a corner.
Spurs did not manage an effort on goal until the 23rd minute, when Dele Alli ran in on Erik Lamela's through ball but was denied when Norwich keeper Declan Rudd saved at the teenager's feet. The ball broke loose for Kane, but he screwed the follow-up shot wide of the far post from a tight angle.

Emboldened, Spurs stepped up the pressure and made an immediate breakthrough. A neat passing move ended with Alli slipping the ball through for Kane, only for Rudd to concede a penalty by sweeping the striker's feet from under him. Kane recovered to take the penalty, chipping the ball down the middle as Rudd dived to his left.
Kane fires in the second
Spurs went hunting for the second. Rudd made a brilliant double save, tipping away headers from Toby Alderweireld and Alli in quick succession, The Belgian defender then had a great chance from a Lamela corner but guided his header wide from close range.
Spurs attacking thirds
A second goal for Tottenham looked inevitable, and it came three minutes before half-time when Lamela and Alli broke quickly to set up Kane on the right-hand side of the penalty area. The England striker had nothing on his mind other than to drill the ball into the far corner of goal, which he did with confidence.
There was a palpable sense of relief among supporters of Spurs, who have conceded more points from winning positions than any other Premier League team this season.
Tom Carroll scores Tottenham's third
The two-goal cushion allowed Tottenham to play out the second-half in a more relaxed manner. Alli and Lamela tormented the Norwich defenders, and the two combined before Rudd made anther good save at Alli's feet, before Lamela's follow-up shot was cleared off the line.
Norwich City attacking thirds
Tom Carroll went on as a late substiute, and was soon celebrating his first Premier League for Spurs, as he thumped a curling shot into the far corner of Rudd's goal from 20 yards.
Spurs are now two points clear of Crystal Palace in fifth place, while Norwich are still perilously close to the relegation zone.
