Six Nations 2016: Fixtures and full match schedule

With the Six Nations just around the corner, it's time to put the important dates in your calendar and keep those afternoons and evenings free of distraction.

The opening weekend will see the teams get straight down to business, with Scotland and England contesting the Calcutta Cup at Murrayfield and Ireland beginning another title defence at home to Wales.

There'll be no love lost when England travel to Italy on Valentine's Day, while their home match against Wales is scheduled for four weeks later in the middle of March.

For the final round of matches Wales will be at home to Italy, Ireland will host Scotland, and England will travel to Paris to play France.

England will be desperate to claim a first Six Nations title since 2011 but defending champions Ireland will be no pushovers, looking for their third championship win in succession.
