Karl Lagerfeld, the head of Chanel, was honoured by fashion's finest at The British Fashion Awards last night.
At 82 he has been in the business for nearly 70 years.
Presenting his award was Anna Wintour, editor of Vogue, who described the designer as a "one man super brand," telling the audience "more than anyone I know he represents the soul of fashion".
Taking home best womenswear and menswear was JW Anderson and Best Brand went to Stella McCartney.
Earlier in the evening David and Victoria Beckham walked the red carpet along with Lily Allen, Yasmin Le Bon and Tine Tempah - all paying tribute to the British fashion industry.
