Glee star Mark Salling has been arrested on suspicion of possessing images of child abuse, police have said.
The 33-year-old actor was taken into custody on Tuesday after investigators served a warrant at his home in the Sunland neighbourhood of Los Angeles.
LAPD Officer Tony Im told the AP news agency that Salling had been under investigation by the department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
He did not provide any specifics of the investigation.
Salling was best known for portraying brash high school footballer Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the hit US television series.
The award-winning musical comedy-drama aired on the Fox network from 2009 through March of this year.
Representatives for Salling did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
