The famous Ibis Sport Club have beaten Manchester United and Real Madrid to the punch and given Jose Mourinho a contract offer – though the deal is not what it first appears to be.
The Brazilian side want Mourinho as their first-team manager and went to the trouble of drawing him up a contract, which they have since shared online.
The club posted on Twitter: "Firsthand, the contract of our future coach Jose Mourinho, who is already here in Pernambuco. #MourinhoAtIbis"
Mourinho has been out of work since leaving Chelsea by mutual consent in early December, and Ibis have been tracking his availability.
"At the moment this is what we can do you for you, as you are without a club," the club stated in its offer.
The move originally caught the world of football off guard, as many years have passed since Ibis originally came to the public consciousness.
With no wins in nearly four years between 1980 and 1984, the Pernambuco side assumed the nickname 'Pior Time do Mundo' – or 'Worst Team in the World'.

The club outlined the size of the task ahead of Mourinho: "We will not give securities or assurance of continuity in our team, if the team has a sequence of two wins (at best)."
On top of his meagre monthly salary the two-year contract promised to gift Mourinho an animal for every defeat, and a "salary increase immediately if the team lost by a thrashing".

However, should Ibis start playing well and perhaps even claim the league title, the club promise "immediate termination" of Mourinho's contract.
Given that Ibis, who compete ('compete') in the regional Pernambuco Championship, finished runners-up in the second-tier as recently as 1999, it's easy to see why the club is taking such a strict approach.

Mourinho is yet to acknowledge the job offer – in typically hard-ball fashion – and he could yet be talked around to the slightly more quaint offerings at Old Trafford and the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Ibis released the job offer to mark 28 December, Brazil's equivalent of the British 'April Fool's Day'.
No doubt the Brazilian minnows, who have enjoyed an underwhelming campaign in 2015, would be more than willing to negotiate were Mourinho to actually respond.
