Search launched as plane vanishes

The aircraft was expected to land in Marree but failed to arrive.

A LIGHT aircraft carrying two people has gone missing over South Australia.

The plane was expected to land in the outback town of Marree, north of Adelaide, last night.

A major search operation is underway to attempt to locate the missing pair and aircraft.

A spokesman for South Australia Police told news.com.au police were assisting with the search.
