Oscar nominee Kate Winslet has said she would be surprised if her former Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio does not bag best actor at this year's Academy Awards.
Speaking at the London Critics' Circle Film Awards, the Oscar winner who is also nominated herself for her performance in Steve Jobs said she believes, even DiCaprio's rivals can feel this is his year to finally win the top award having been nominated five times previously.
"I honestly would be surprised if it isn't (Leonardo’s year) which would be amazing,” she told Sky News.
"I mean he is up against my friend Michael Fassbender who was obviously in Steve Jobs and played Steve Jobs.
"Michael gives such an extraordinary performance and I was there watching him work every day.
"But I think that Michael himself actually can feel as well that it is possibly going to be Leo’s year and he's, like everyone, such a huge admirer of Leo.
"So I'd be very surprised if it doesn't happen finally for him."

DiCaprio has never won an Oscar but this could be his best chance yet as critics have praised his performance as a fur trapper in historical survival epic The Revenant, which is leading this year's Oscars race with 12 nominations in total.
Winslet herself is nominated for best supporting actress for her role as Jobs' assistant and confidante Joanna Hoffman in the Steve Jobs biopic directed by Danny Boyle.
The actress from Reading won the Best Actress Oscar in 2008 for the film The Reader.
She said she is delighted to be nominated again this year.
"It doesn't get any less nerve-wracking, which I'm rather pleased to find.
