The father of band manager Craig Tarry, who was killed in a car crash in Sweden along with his group Viola Beach, has said he hopes his son didn't die in vain.
Speaking in public for the first time about his son's death, Colin Tarry urged people to buy their music as a tribute.
He said: "It's just a tragic loss. I just don't want them to die in vain. Go out there and buy their records. Let's get them to number one."
Craig's brother Sarah Tarry said: "He was everyone's big brother. We've had the best childhood.
"He always looked out for me. He was the best big brother a little sister could ask for."
She said she was "so proud of him" and he "worked so hard", adding the indie band were "ready to storm it".
Tarry's mother Diane said her son was "very proud" of working with Viola Beach.
All four band members and their manager were killed when their vehicle smashed through a bridge barrier and plunged more than 80ft into a canal early on Saturday.
Singer Kris Leonard, guitarist River Reeves, bassist Tomas Lowe, drummer Jack Dakin and Tarry died around 25 miles from Stockholm.
The Warrington-based group had played a gig at the Where Is The Music? festival in Norrkoping, Sweden, on Friday night.
They were due back in the UK to play in Guildford, Surrey, on Saturday night.

The group have already charted at number 39 with their single Swings & Waterslides and are expected to rise before Friday's full chart is announced.
A fan-led campaign is now attempting to get the group to number one and has already succeeded in getting the song into the iTunes top three.
The band's record label Communion have confirmed that the proceeds from the sale of singles will go to the families of the band and manager.
