A lawyer for Dr Luke has denied the record producer has been fired by Sony Music over allegations he drugged and sexually assaulted singer Kesha.
The label has been the target of protests over its association with the producer and there has been an outpouring of support for Kesha.
It was reported by The Wrap on Wednesday that Sony was going to "end its working relationship" with him before the end of his contract.
However, a lawyer for Dr Luke, real name Luke Gottwald, told Rolling Stone it was "not true".
"Luke has an excellent relationship with Sony," the lawyer said.
"His representatives are in regular contact with executives at the highest levels at Sony and this has never come up."
Las month, a judge in New York ruled that Kesha could not break the five-album contract she signed when she was 18 with Sony and Dr Luke.
Lawyers for the producer and Sony Music Entertainment said she did not have to work with him personally, though he has rights to produce at least six songs on each of her albums and could pursue damages if he does not.
Dr Luke has denied the allegations made against him and has sued Kesha for defamation.
Sony issued a statement last month which said: "Sony has made it possible for Kesha to record without any connection, involvement or interaction with Luke whatsoever, but Sony is not in a position to terminate the contractual relationship between Luke and Kesha."
Kesha, famous for her hits Tik Tok and Timber, has had support from other stars including Taylor Swift and Adele and the hashtag #FreeKesha has been trending frequently in the last few weeks.
Supporters are planning a #FreeKesha rally outside Sony’s New York headquarters on Friday.
They will deliver four petitions with 411,000 signatures urging her release from the contract.
