Prince Andrew has said he is "an early adopter" when it comes to technology.
The Duke of York told Sky News: "I will adopt new technology probably sooner and earlier than some people would."
The Prince is a big supporter of British start-ups, engaging with a number of organisations that help small ventures grow.
He hosts the Pitch@Palace event - where entrepreneurs pitch their tech business ideas to influential figures who could potentially help them, not just in terms of funding, but with mentoring and networking.
When asked about his tips for budding entrepreneurs who want to turn their ideas into businesses, he said: "They should give it a go.
"There are a great many people out there, both in further education colleges and in universities, who can provide you with the knowledge and the care and attention to put you on that ladder, and away you go."
On the Duke's own tech credentials, I wanted to know if - as a member of the Royal family - he was allowed his own phone, and if so, did he have any favourite apps?
"I am allowed my own telephone, believe it or not," he said.
"I have a smartphone or two and I have a number of applications that I use."
We were speaking at an event for tech entrepreneurs at London incubator, Wayra UK, in the lead-up to next week's Pitch@Palace.
Pitch@Palace is part of the Prince Andrew charitable trust.
