Police in Oslo have arrested two men in connection with the 2009 theft of a valuable artwork by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch.
The pair, who have not been named, are accused of handling the stolen goods rather than carrying out the robbery itself.
They were arrested on Monday and Tuesday.
A police spokeswoman said the hand-coloured lithography Historien - or History - was recovered on Monday although she declined to elaborate.
When it was stolen from Nyborgs Kunst art gallery in November 2009, local media reported the piece was worth about £217,000.
Munch’s work has been a popular target for thieves.
In 2004, gunmen stole masterpieces The Scream and Madonna in a brazen daytime raid on Oslo's Munch Museum.
Another version of The Scream was stolen in 1994 by two thieves who left behind a postcard that read: "Thanks for the poor security".
Museum security has since been upgraded.
