Mind those revolving doors.
YOU’RE trying to navigate your way through hordes of people at the airport, desperately trying to reach your gate. Along the way, you squeeze through a door in front of someone else, thinking nothing of it.
But the next thing you know, you’re being told you aren’t allowed on the plane.
Wait, what?! This is what happened to Texas lawyer Robert B Abtahi, when he tried to board a Virgin America flight to Dallas at La Guardia Airport.
He was told the crew weren’t comfortable having him on the plane. When he asked a gate agent why, they said he had cut off a crew member in a revolving door at the airport.
He was so shocked by what he was hearing, that he took to Twitter and referenced Ashton Kutcher, of Punk’d fame.
So @VirginAmerica captain/crew didn't "feel comfortable" w/ me on flight. Wasn't allowed to board. Still waiting for @aplusk to show up...

Mr Abtahi was forced to cancel his ticket and fly on another airline.
Airline spokesman David Arnold confirmed the incident, telling the NYTimes: “As an airline that prides itself on our award-winning guest service, we take issues like this very seriously.
“We are sorry Mr Abtahi had this experience today, as it was not representative of the guest service for which we are known.”
Mr Abtahi was offered reimbursement for the price of the ticket and two free flights. But he told the airline to give the free flights to the refugee assistance organisation Human Rights Initiative of North Texas.
I got a nice sincere apology from @VirginAmerica. You are now permitted to calm down Internet.
