Hollywood star Sandra Bullock has revealed that she has adopted a little girl called Laila who was born in Louisiana.
The Oscar winner said her new daughter is three-and-a-half and had previously been in foster care.
In an interview with People Bullock said it had taken three years to complete the process, with her five-year-old adopted son Louis helping her.
"When I look at Laila, there's no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here," she said.
"I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time."
Bullock said the siblings have formed a great bond after "Louis spearheaded the whole journey".
The news comes just months after the actress denied she had adopted another child at a news conference for the film Our Brand Is Crisis.
She told the magazine she had to keep the adoption secret to protect Laila's safety.
Bullock adopted Louis in 2010 following her best actress Oscar win for The Blind Side.
"My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding. That's a family," she said.
