Shah Rukh Khan 'Owes Stardom To UK Fans'

The world's biggest film star Shah Rukh Khan has told Sky News he "owes his stardom" to his UK fans.

The Bollywood actor is in London to promote his latest film Dilwale.

Khan has been dubbed India's equivalent to George Clooney and has an estimated fortune of $400-600m (£265-400m).

"I think I became a star because of the audience in the UK and the US. So I owe my stardom to them," he said.

Dilwale sees the 50-year-old reunited with his longtime onscreen love interest Kajol for the first time in five years.

It is in cinemas from 18 December.
