British astronaut Tim Peake says his first few days aboard the International Space Station (ISS) were "way better than I imagined" and "very hard to describe".
At his first news conference live from space, he said the rocket that took him to the ISS was a "phenomenal machine" and said the "amazing view of Earth" was "way beyond my expectation".
He appeared at the European Astronaut Centre near Cologne, Germany, via videolink for the question-and-answer session.
Sky's Technology Correspondent Tom Cheshire asked him whether he'd perfected his space somersault yet - and Major Peake attempted one on camera.
One journalist asked how he manages to shower during his time on the station, and he described how he uses a flannel with hot water - similar to a camping trip.
Throughout the news conference he played with his microphone in low gravity, allowing it to twirl slowly in front of him.
When asked how he's adapted to his new lifestyle, he said: "I've been amazed at how quickly my body has adapted.
"The first 24 hours is pretty rough - every time you turn a corner your ears send signals to the brain that don't match your eyes."
Major Peake blasted off in a Soyuz FG rocket just after 11am on Tuesday from a Kazakhstan cosmodrome along with his two colleagues - Russian commander Yuri Malenchenko and NASA astronaut Tim Kopra.
His duties during his six months on the ISS will include unpacking cargo from a spacecraft, spending an hour on the exercise bike and taking part in an experiment investigating the effects of radiation on bone marrow.
In April he will run the entire 26.2-mile London Marathon on a treadmill aboard the space station.
