£67,000 Cloned Puppies 'Money Well Spent'

A British couple who paid £67,000 to scientists to have their dead dog cloned have told Sky News they "can’t wait" to bring home their two new puppies.

Laura Jacques and Richard Remde went ahead with the procedure which involved taking cells from their boxer Dylan, who died last year with a brain tumour.

They sent the cells to South Korean Sooam Biotech Research Foundation in Seoul where his DNA was extracted to produce two identical puppies.

The puppies, which the couple from North Yorkshire have named Chance and Shadow, have to stay in quarantine until they are seven months old.

However, the couple said they receive pictures of them regularly and plan to make several trips to Seoul to see the pair in the meantime.
