Former Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter has been arrested after a fight outside a Florida bar.
The 35-year-old was detained on Wednesday evening, accused of grabbing a bouncer by the throat after being told to leave a Key West pub.
The former boy band star is in Monroe County jail facing a court appearance on a misdemeanour battery charge.
It is alleged a "heavily intoxicated" Carter became aggressive when a barman at the Hog's Breath Saloon refused to serve him and a friend.
The staff repeatedly asked both men to get out.
According to the police report, as Carter seized the doorman, his friend, Michael Rae Papayans, head-butted an employee.
Papayans, 27, also faces a misdemeanour battery charge.
A Monroe County Sheriff's Office booking sheet lists Carter's occupation as "singer".
He was a recent contestant on hit show Dancing With The Stars.
In November, he spoke about how he has stayed sober since quitting drugs and alcohol.
He and his wife, Lauren Kitt, announced that same month they were expecting their first child.
