Oscar nominee Mark Ruffalo was forced to issue a Twitter appeal when he lost his mobile phone and ID in the blizzard in New York.
The actor tweeted that he had lost the items on Saturday night and promised a reward and signed picture for whoever found them.
"APB out for a cell phone in a wallet case out on the streets of NYC in a blizzard. My drivers license is in there. Reward and signed pic," he said.
Ruffalo started receiving dozens of tweets and tips from people around the city and remarkably, after just a short amount of time, it appeared that his phone had been found.
"OMG It was just found! That was freaking fast. Thanks for helping me find it!!"
The Good Samaritans were Peter Brown and his daughters, Amenaide and Catherine, TMZ.com reported.
The family were unable to unlock Ruffalo's phone but could see a text had been received and were able to call the number of the sender and get in touch with the Avengers star's publicist.
The Brown's met up with Ruffalo to reunite him with his possessions and the actor posed for a photo with the girls.
It was reported that he gave them $100 and a signed Hulk photo.
"Thank Amenaide and Catherine Brown for finding my Phone and wallet! Thanks Brown family for your decency," he tweeted.
Ruffalo is nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar for his role in Spotlight, a film about the Boston Globe's investigation into abuse in the Catholic Church.
He was in London for the premiere last week where he said he is "really sympathetic" to those who have criticised the Academy Awards for its lack of black stars in the top categories.
