The Ontario government is pushing back the rollout dates for the Ontario Retirement Pension Plan.
The new provincial pension plan would cover some three million Ontarians who don't have workplace pensions.
Workers at large companies — those with 500 or more employees — were scheduled to begin contributing in January 2017.
But in announcing the Feb. 25 budget date today, Finance Minister Sousa said businesses have been asking for more time. As a result, the announced contributions won't begin until 2018.
