Rock band Bring Me The Horizon's frontman caused chaos at the NME Awards when he jumped on Coldplay's table and trashed it.
The Sheffield group, who won the innovation prize, were performing on stage when Oli Sykes decided to jump into the crowd and leap on to the table.
Coldplay moved away from the table as Sykes kicked bottles, glasses and cutlery.
His table dancing was cut short when the table collapsed under him and appeared to break in half.
Coldplay were honoured for their contribution to music at Wednesday night's ceremony.
The Chris Martin-fronted four piece - known for the likes of Yellow, Fix You and Clocks - took the Godlike Genius Award, before playing a career-spanning set.
Speaking to NME after the incident, Martin said he had never heard of Bring Me The Horizon before but that "it was great, very rock n roll."
Earlier in the evening the singer listed the NME titles his band had been nominated for during the early years, before joking how they were shortlisted for "worst album, worst band, worst haircuts" in the mid-2000s.
Acknowledging the Godlike Genius commendation, Martin said: "So for us it's been a big old circle and we are so grateful for the NME for having us back.
"We feel grateful for our jobs, we feel grateful for the people who work with us, and it's a big cliche but we feel very grateful for the people who listen to us and give us this love."
