It is not known if Kanye West is a fan of flat-pack furniture but we do know he is $53m in debt so maybe that explains the rapper's visit to Ikea in Sweden.
The company confirmed that the star was visiting its offices in the southern town of Almhult, where Ikea was founded in the 1940s.
Ikea spokesman Jakob Holmstrom told The Associated Press that West was visiting several facilities including its design division.
The sighting of West at the offices caused a surge of excitement in the Sweden press with many newspapers reporting on his arrival.
He would not comment on whether West and Ikea were planning a joint commercial project, saying "time will tell".
West already has high profile collaborations with other brands, most prominently Adidas.
Company founder Ingvar Kamprad opened the first Ikea store in Almhult in the 1950s.
As of last year the company, known for its affordable furniture, had 328 stores in 28 countries.
Last month West tweeted: ''Let's dance in the streets. I am consumed by my purpose to help the world.
''I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt... Please pray we overcome... This is my true heart...
''This is all all is fun all in good feelings... We will all be gone 100 years from now but what did we do to help while we were here!!!"
However, the singer may not have too much to worry about since his wife, Kim Kardashian, is a multi-millionaire.
On Sunday West was spotted at Paris Fashion Week with his mother-in-law Kris Jenner.
