Sir Elton John has announced a collaboration with the Tate Modern in London to showcase images from his huge collection of 20th century photography.
The exhibition, "The Radical Eye", will feature more than 150 images by masters of photography including Man Ray, Alexander Rodchenko, Walker Evans and Dorothea Lange.
The Tate Modern said Sir Elton owns "one of the world's greatest private collections of photography" - some 7,000 images - and the show includes portraits of some of the century's great cultural figures, including Georgia O'Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Jean Cocteau.
The musician said he was "thrilled" to be part of the collaboration.
"The modernist era in photography is one of the key moments within the medium and collecting work from this period has brought me great joy over the last 25 years.
"Each of these photographs serves as inspiration for me in my life; they line the walls of my homes and I consider them precious gems."
Tate said the exhibition, which opens on 10 November, is the start of a long-term relationship between John and the London gallery.
