A VIETNAMESE man mistaken for a six-year-old boy by lingerie tycoon Michelle Mone has spoken out about the embarrassing incident.
Nguyen Tan Phat slammed ‘false’ reports that he was 46 and has revealed he is actually a 22-year-old real estate agent.
Writing in a Facebook post titled, “The truth behind the man who is 46 years old”, he explained he has looked this way since he was young and corrected Mone’s claims his teeth were “bright yellow from nicotine”.
“I never had a wife or lover and I have never smoked yellow teeth is due to something other causes,” he said. “I think after this event, for sure, I’ll be so famous.”
The Sun reports that former Ultimo boss Mone, 44, was left embarrassed after picking Mr Nguyen up while addressing 3000 people in Vietnam as part of her mentoring program.
Clearly seeing the humour in her awkward gaffe, she later shared the story with her 1.7m Twitter followers.

“Most embarrassing moment. Speaking in Vietnam to 3000 people, thought this was a 6 year old, picked him up, he’s a MAN,” she wrote online.
The Tory peer, titled Baroness of Mayfair, met the man of small stature when he presented her with a bunch of flowers.
After accepting the bouquet, blonde bombshell Mone proceeded to lift up Nguyen so they could have a cuddle and take a photograph together.
“The guy was fine with it and the whole room was screaming with laughter,” she said. “I thought something was wrong — his teeth were bright yellow from nicotine.”
But the blunder provoked a mixed response on social media.
TV presenter June Sarpong wrote: “Hilarious, brings new meaning to picking up a man.”
While a user dubbed ‘irongirl’ responded: “Most people be too ashamed to admit to that never mind tweet it. Not funny.”
Mone’s tweet has been shared over 7900 times and received 7800 likes.
