It looks like someone in Germany is obsessed with the idea that Arsenal are trying to sign Schalke 04 captain Benedikt Höwedes.
SportBild claims the Gunners will make a move for the Germany international in the summer. Höwedes will apparently only have one year remaining on his contract by then and has a release clause of £9 million.
Arsenal have made a £44.6 million bid to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to The Metro.
The Dortmund star is THE form striker in Europe and the Gunners have been linked with his services a number of times.

Now The Metro is reporting that Arsenal have made a £44.6 million offer, based on a tweet from Spanish journalist Kike Marin.
Marin, we are informed, was the first journo to report on Arsenal's deal for Alexis Sanchez and has broken a host of other exclusive content in recent years.

The Gunners could face a battle to hold on to midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after reports he is being tracked by Chelsea as a possible replacement for Eden Hazard.
Belgium international Hazard is wanted by Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester United and, according to The Sun, is waiting to see who Chelsea's new permanent manager will be before deciding his future.
The paper adds that Jose Mourinho was keen on the Ox when he was in charge at Stamford Bridge and that interest in the player has not waned, despite the Special One's departure.
Sorry to disappoint all you Arsenal fans but Troy Deeney will not be signing for your club this January.
The Watford striker has admitted he is "flattered" to be linked with a move to the Gunner (not that we are sure who has been making the link) but insists he will not be leaving his current club this month.
Asked whether he and strike partner Odion Ighalo could be heading to the Emirates Stadium this month, Deeney replied on talkSPORT: "No, no, no. We have still got a project to complete.
January transfer window closes in
"The pleasing thing from my point of view and from Iggy's is people want us.
"That shows that we have been doing something right for the past five, six months.
"But we have got a project to complete and the gaffer has stated before that whatever happens in the summer, will happen in the summer.
"It is very flattering. My son is an Arsenal fan so he read it in the paper the other day and I don’t think he is happy that I am staying at Watford.
"He doesn’t understand that it is not Fifa and you can’t change the same day!"

Word is that Southampton will resist the Gunners' attempts to sign Victor Wanyama this month. However, they could be open to a move in the summer.
Arsenal have long been interested in bringing the defensive midfielder to the Emirates ever since he joined Southampton from Celtic for £12.5 million in 2013.
Arsene Wenger is looking to boost his midfield options this month and is reportedly preparing a bid for Wanyama, but The Daily Mirror claim Southampton will reject any advances.
The paper reports that Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is growing increasingly frustrated with losing his top players to Premier League rivals.
Since Koeman's arrival, Luke Shaw, Nathaniel Clyne, Morgan Schneiderlin, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Calum Chambers have all been sold.
The next player on our list of people who will not to be joining Arsenal is Michy Batshuayi, who has ended speculation over his future by signing a new contract with Marseille.
Batshuayi had been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League after a great start to the season in which he has scored 14 goals in 24 appearances.
Arsenal were thought to be interested, alongside their north London rivals Spurs, but Marseille have acted quickly to prevent any January bids from coming in by securing him to the club until 2020.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has revealed he has been speaking to Wenger to bolster his squad with some Arsenal players during the January transfer window.
Garde admitted right-back Mathieu Debuchy is one of the possible targets.
The Villa manager was Wenger's first signing when he took charge at Arsenal and is looking to take advantage of his relationship with his fellow Frenchman to strengthen his ranks.
"I had a conversation with Arsene Wenger a few days about some of the players and Mathieu Debuchy was one of the players," said Garde.
